In 2009, a man, a former police officer, was moving from the state of ME to
TX.  He made the profound mistake of driving through NJ!

A local NJ police officer spotted a gun-case in the man's car and, based on
the appearance of the case, conducted a warrentless search.  The man was
subsequently arrested for possessing "illegal" guns. A jury acquitted him of
possession of "assault firearms," but convicted him of possession of
hollow-point ammunition, and "high-capacity" magazines.  He was sentenced
to five years in prison.  That conviction and sentence were recently upheld
by the NJ Appellate Court.

Here is the lesson:

Liberal politicians, Republican and Democrat, look upon the wanton
persecution of gun-owners as "good politics."  Accordingly, gun-owners, and
other political opponents, thrown wholesale into prison is one of their
not-so-secret goals.  "Justice" never even enters their conversation!

It is time to lower your profile as a gun-owner, particularly when going
armed, and transporting guns.
